| I created this guide to help all who have interest in advertising their products/services online. Creating a successful ad and spending your funds correctly is not an easy task. There are a lot of websites for advertising that tell you how easy it is to make a successful and popular website. Well, it's not. Don't believe them when they tell you that your successful ad is only 1, 2 or 3 clicks away. I have written the things you need to keep in mind in several simple points so that at least you are aware of the problems and tricks. | Always keep it simple. Do not create 2 minute animation banners with 50 words jumping around and flashing. People hate that! Create a simple, yet attractive banner that is not only pleasant to look at, but tells the "customer" that you are a professional (or at least trying). If you have to create a text ad keep it simple and informative. Explain what exactly can be found by clicking on the ad and be clear about it. | |

| Your ad sends your customer to your landing page. This is the most important page of your website. If this page is not perfect you will lose the customer which means you lose money. Send your customer to a nice, tidy and simple landing page so that he can feel comfortable and start using your services. Don't try to design and create your landing page all by yourself if you have no idea what you are doing. Instead look for professional help or at least someone who has experience. | |

| The most important thing you need to have when creating an ad (or providing a service) is perfect grammar and language knowledge. Let me give you an example. If you want your website or ad in spanish, find a spanish guy to help you out. Don't write anything in spanish by referring to google or some long-ago memmories from spanish class at school :D Stick to the language you know. | |

| Be extra careful when choosing where to publish your ad. Target your customers. It is better to publish your ad on a website with 300 visitors/day but when all of them are interested in the field of your service, than to advertise on a website with 2000 visitors/day that has nothing to do with your work. | |

| To be able to target your customers you need information. To pick a website for advertising your server you need to contact and request information regarding the visitors of that website. The important things you need to ask are: 1. How many visitors does the website have? 2. What is the overall increase of visitors? 3. What kind of statistics can the website provide? 4. What kind of people visit the website? 5. From which regions do people visit the website? 6. Always ask for advice on how to plan, create and publish your ad. 7. Ask anything else you think of and need to know. If the website owner values his customers he should answer everything you ask him. Finally, when you select a website to advertise on, always be polite, correct and accurate in your work. Make a good impression and keep it on a professional level. | |
